Case International has been working in Somalia since 2015, primarily focusing on climate change adaptation and mitigation projects. Our programs have included projects in sustainable land management, agriculture and livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, and capacity building for local communities and government agencies. We work in partnership with Somali and international aid agencies, civil society leaders, and local authorities

Case International works in Somalia, which are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The region is facing the triple shocks of climate change, including more frequent and severe droughts, floods, and cyclones. These extreme weather events have led to crop failures and food insecurity, especially among vulnerable communities, such as women and children. In response, Case International is working to promote climate-resilient livelihoods, improve disaster preparedness and response, and build the capacity of local communities and government agencies to adapt to the effects of climate change

Case International is undertaking a new project funded by the Global Environment facility.Based on this we are recruiting the program manager position.The Program Manager is responsible for :
 Ongoing, systematic and thorough analysis of the humanitarian situation in
respect of and of the context of intervention in his field of activity;
 Internal dissemination of information gathered and its analysis to the Field
Coordinator and the HoD
 Taking part in the determination of strategy in his area of activity and sectoral
strategy at national level
 Setting up projects consistent with the CASE INTERNATIONAL Charter, the Case
International strategic framework, the policies of and other CASE
INTERNATIONAL sectors, national strategic and key international documents in
the sector
 ensuring that teams have a clear understanding of national adaption plans  and policies
 Participating, as and when necessary, in the development of the section of the
climate change response plan in his area of activity ;
 Promoting transversal integration of the sector with other sectors, in
collaboration with the Field Coordinator ;
 Taking cognizance of transversal problems associated with initiatives ( Gender
issues, Disaster Management, Environment, Handicap, etc.).Read more…….
